Run your own trading operation in Kuttenberg!
Buy into Janek the scribe’s trading network and start making money from the goods you collect on your adventures. Place items in the supply chest, tell Janek to sell them, choose how long he should spend finding buyers, and come back to collect your earnings. The longer you wait, the better the prices he can get.
How It Works
– Find the opportunity. Visit Havel at the U Cisare Karla inn in Kuttenberg. Ask him about trading opportunities and he’ll point you toward Janek.
– Meet Janek. Head to Platnerska street and speak with Janek the scribe. He’ll offer you a partnership in his trading network for 5000 Groschen.
– Supply goods. Place whatever you want to sell into the supply chest in Janek’s shop (the unlocked chest in the main room, by the door where he works).
– Choose your strategy. Talk to Janek and tell him you’ve left goods. He’ll ask how long you want him to spend finding buyers:
– 1 day – Quick sale, lower margins
– 3 days – Standard, decent buyers
– 5 days – Patient, better-paying merchants
– 7 days – Premium, the richest buyers across Bohemia
– Wait. The quest journal tracks your progress. Come back when the timer is up.
– Collect. Talk to Janek and collect your earnings. The longer you waited, the better your cut.
– Repeat. Supply more goods whenever you like.
Selling Tiers
The commission bonus Janek earns you depends on how much time you give him:
– 1 day: 0-5% commission bonus
– 3 days: 5-20% commission bonus
– 5 days: 10-25% commission bonus
– 7 days: 20-35% commission bonus
The more time Janek has, the more likely he is to find wealthy buyers willing to pay premium prices.

Installation
Manual:
– Extract the archive.
– Copy the clx_kuttenberg_player_shop folder into your game’s Mods directory.
– Launch the game.
Mod Manager:
– Use KCD2 Mod Manager to install the mod.
Uninstall:
Delete the clx_kuttenberg_player_shop folder from your Mods directory.
Known Issues / Work in Progress
– Supply chest persistence: Items in the supply chest are not saved across game restarts or when loading a different save. Always talk to Janek to sell your goods before quitting. Earnings from completed sales are safe.
– Trespassing: The shop area and basement may still show trespassing warnings during nighttime hours, even though you own the shop. This is a limitation of the current modding tools.
– Door locking: The shop door locks during nighttime. Unlocking it permanently through modding is currently not possible.
