Change skip wheel speed v1
ffers option to either increase or decrease the speed of skip time wheel while skipping time. Also unlocks FPS of wheel to extend beyond 120fps.
The function of the skip time wheel will be identical to vanilla, only speed changes. The time passed in the games world will scale exactly as it needs to regardless of which speed option you choose. The fps cap unlock is separate and isn’t implicated in the speed changes for the time skip wheel.
The faster options are for those who simply want to continue gameplay as soon as possible,
while the slower version is for those who prefer an experience that increases immersion by increasing the duration of the time wheel which avoids overly rapid time skips. It also helps prevent “skip time music” from cutting off abruptly or not starting at all.
For this reason, the slower version goes extremely well with KCD1 Music Returnwhich adds a significant new amount of soundtracks to the time skip wheel phase.
This mod does not change quick travel speed. That is different and factors in horse and random encounters. I plan on uploading changes to that as a separate mod soon.
INSTALLATION:
Choose your preferred version.
manually download preferred version and extract to your mods folder.
Make sure to paste the name of the mods folder to the bottom of mod_order.txt
For example, if you downloaded skiptime_extremespeed version, paste that exact text to the bottom. The name must be identical to the folder name.
As these are cfg lines, you can add them to your user.cfg as well and tweak values to your liking if needed.
